What anime are you currently watching?

It's really good so far. I'm two episodes in. Typical crazy Japanese idea for a show. Shiro's mannerisms remind me of Ed from Cowboy Bebop.

Phantom seems like it has 3 chapters in it, it's weird. The flow is kinda odd but not sure.

I am trying to decide what to watch next as I just finished Arrietty.

Either re-watching some Minami-ke, or starting Usagi Drop.

I need Hellsing OVA 8! And I know I have to wait for the Berserk Movie, but I really want to see where the go with it.

I think I finished Deadman Wonderland. Are there only 12 episodes? If there is that was an odd end-point.

Yes it ends at 12, but there is an OVA. It was way too short considering how long the manga is, which I am glad I didn't read before watching the series.

Are the 12 episodes and ova it then? No plans for more? Maybe I should tackle the manga.

[Layla]

The OVA is bundled, like they constantly do nowadays, with the 11th volume of the Manga due out in October. The 26th I believe.
People have posted that the manga is sooo much better. The anime really had no time. It began, it introduced characters, showed some of the backstory then boom over, with no resolution. Hopefully the OVA clears some of it up.

It is licensed by good old Funi, and I believe you can still watch it on Crunchyroll, but as it just ended you will have to wait a bit for the dvd release.

What's not to get? It is filled with some much over the top fan service, which for some actually detracted from the show, but for others was the major draw. And how many shows actually have the boob gun??? Personally, though I dislike when fan service detracts from the plot, I just had to laugh at the massive amount of it in the show, though sometimes it became annoying. Zombie action!!!! *cut to scene of massive mammary glands, that defy all logic as too gravity, time seems to freeze as we watch them bounce and sway* then wham! back to Zombie action! I would like to see them make it without the ridiculous T&A, as I was interested in the learning how to survive, banding together aspect of it.

It was moreso the plan they had for zombies.


Who doesn't have their own plan already created for zombies. It seemed like they were chickens with their heads cut off at one point confused at what to do.


Basically whenever I see a Zombie series it seems like the characters in the show/movie don't know what zombies are. I find it hard to believe someone in their world didn't come up with a story about the dead walking around and eating brains.

Well the men couldn't plan, because they had too much to distract them, and the women were too busy trying to angle their bodies, and clothing, in each scene for the maximum amount of panty-shots, cleavage exposures etc. and don't forget the bathtub scene! All of that was so exhausting, that they had no time to plan for the zombies who wanted to munch on, and consume, that exposed flesh.

But Saeko was kick-ass!!

Just finished Redline and it is pretty damn epic! Sure the plot had some holes, but it is one awesome adrenaline ride!

I watched the first 3 episodes in the latest marvel character brought to anime, Blade. It's not as bad as people were saying, but it isn't great either. His foes all go down too easily, and I am not sure how the comics were, but the vamps come in different animal forms, which is more common in Japanese lore.

ikr, I'm very picky about what I watch now especially anime but my good friend recommended this, so far I wasn't let down, the plot is just pained out mysteriously, it's not obvious in any way with story direction

It can be somewhat confusing yes, and make sure you watch the specials after your done with the series. ^_^

I'm currently watching Aquarion Evol. Highly recommend it. It's very different to the original 'Genesis of Aquarion' with a new cast. Every episode seems just to end with a cliffhanger, wanting to know more what it about to happen. Could someone please recommend some other animes, they think which might be similar and very good.
