This is more of a thread to humor myself, but I will be posting a random word or phrase of the day. Or try to anyway. Depends on how busy/lazy I am.
Monogatari (kanji: 物語, kana: ものがたり) It means: story or tale.

Wow this is a pretty cool idea! I think I've heard kaiwa before but it was part of another word. It was ekaiwa or something like that. Are they related?

Lupin, I think you are thinking of Eikaiwa. Good ear.
Eikaiwa (kanji: 英会話, kana: えいかいわ) It means English conversation.

It is usually said after failing at something as a way to note that failure, "I may have failed, but even the best slip up once in a awhile." It is also used as a way to encourage people who are learning.
